Project description

There is only 60 milimetres of gravel pavement and the existing seal is failing. The traveled path is very rough due to pot hole patches. The pavement shape is poor with nil or negative cross falls resulting in large volumes of water pooling on the road surface. The existing kerbing is broken in many locations. Flow of stormwater drainage off the road is poor/slow.

Remove existing kerbing and place new kerbing to improved alignments thus improving vehicle movements. Remove the existing seal, import spread and compact gravel and form in a minimum 100 milimetre compacted thickness to the design cross falls. Improve stormwater flow away from the road by forming suitably sized swales.Place asphalt seal.
