Project description

Existing road surface is very narrow with little shoulder causing safety concerns due to high volume of heavy vehicles. Pavement condition is poor showing extensive cracking and rutting. This route is classified as a B-double route with a quarry and a large number of farms being serviced along this road.

Lime Stabilise existing subbase and overlay with gravel to strengthen and widen the road. All culverts along this section will be replaced and widened as many are close to failure. New road to have a formation width of 9m and seal width of 7m. The total length of the project is 1.34km
