Project description

Council has recommended the unsealed road with in the township area are upgrade to a sealed surface. The current surface is an recycled asphalt planning which is no longer serviceable road and has greater than 40 percent surface defects. The last visual survey also show signs of pavement failure with numerous potholes.

Road base to be reconstructed using stabilization and concrete treatment and a 14/7 spray seal surface

The Street is located adjacent to a busy commercial precinct (The Parade)and efficient movement of vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists is required. Road safety is a major concern. The road is a designated heavy vehicle route and listed as a sub-arterial road. Road deterioration and constant surface failures have resulted in a narrow sub-standard road.Works will include road rehabilitation to a 9 metre wide base, 150mm gravel overlay and 8 metre wide seal.
