Project description

Surface instability, aged seal and aged pavement have caused consistent pavement failure over this 1.5km section, just south of the Rydal township. Such failures include severe surface cracking and potholing.

The seal for this 1.5km section will be entirely removed and the pavement will be ripped and blended with new, suitable quality road base. The subsurface will then be compacted prior to the application of a robust 20/10 two-coat seal. Table drains will be reformed and stormwater drainage pipes will be reformed and cleared where applicable.
