Project description

The road has a sealed formation width of approximately 8.4 metres, with large areas of maintenance patches, extensive signs of pavement distress and edge breaks, and poor drainage channels. The road is also showing deformation because of mine subsidence. Investigations have confirmed that the existing road has only a short term life.

Reconstruction is required to meet the current service level standard for a major collector road, and provide for future traffic growth. Work to include road widening to achieve minimum lane and shoulder width, drainage works and replacement of guardrails.

Total cost of proposed project is $2,270,445
