Project description

This is a Primary distributor road that has both heavy vehicles and tourists vehicles accessing the Stirling Ranges. Lack of good surface material is causing blowouts and creating driving hazards. Dust is also a major concern in the summer due to the large number of trucks and tourist accessing the road, sealing with greatly improve this issue.

Preparing unsealed section of 5.8km ready sealing and seal at 7m wide. Widen and seal 1.8km of existing seal from 6.4m wide to 7m to match new section. Sealing this section of road will complete the bitumen seal from Cranbrook town to Formby South Road vastly improving the safety of this road.

Total cost of proposed project is $555,621
