Project description

The bitumen seal is 6.2 metres wide. B double trucks and semi-trailers are punched onto the gravel road shoulder when passing other traffic. The road shoulders have scoured and hold water which has soaked under the sealed carriageway. The outer section of the carriageway has deformed.

Remove existing seal. Rework and widen the road formation. Stabilise both side of the shoulders to width of 2.4m. Lay and compact 100mm layer of pavement material followed by 10mm primer seal, Line marking and erection of roadside furniture.
