Project description

Planning for a grade separation of the existing roundabout at the Hobart Airport.

Benefits

The project will improve safety for cross-traffic movements, reduce traffic delays, improve access to Hobart Airport and improve travel times along the Tasman Highway.

Funding

The estimated cost of the planning project is $2.1 million. The Australian Government contributed $1.7 million and the Tasmanian Government $0.4 million.

Timetable

Planning commenced in Jan 2017 and was completed in June 2019.
