Project description

The section of road does not have adequate infrastructure for pedestrians and cyclists resulting in safety concerns for such users of this section of road. The route is a significant access for connection of pedestrians utilising the Broadwater Parklands and Gold Coast Hockey Centre which will host events as part of the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Construction of 2.5m wide shared path on the western side of the Gold Coast Highway between North Street and Nerang Street. As per Cycleway Report Section 4 submitted.

Total cost of proposed project is $650,000
