The project upgraded and extended the dual carriageway on the Green Camp Road corridor from two lanes to four lanes between Rickertt Road and Manly Road in Wakerley. The works included the upgrade of the Green Camp Road/Tilley Road intersection including signalisation and upgrade of the Green Camp Road/Rickertt Road intersection including the extension of the dual carriageway and provision of on-road cycle facilities. The lengths of Green Camp Road, Rickertt Road and Tilley Road upgraded are 1.2km, 350m and 150m respectively.
The project will reduce travel times along Green Camp Road for all road users, enhance the ability for Green Camp Road to fulfil its role as an arterial road in the east Brisbane network through reduced travel times and crashes, improve safety by signalising the Green Camp Road and Tilley Road intersection and by improving the layout of the intersection, improve flood immunity for Green Camp Road, and improve cycling facilities by providing on-road bicycle lanes.
The Australian Government has committed $10 million towards delivery of the project.
Construction was completed in early 2019.
