The Diamantina Developmental Road is a north-south road linking Mount Isa to Charlesville. The Boulia to Dajarra section is mostly sealed to a narrow 3.8 metre standard, and services a number of abattoirs and cattle grazing areas in northern Queensland.
The project involves widening and rehabilitation of over 12km of road from a narrow single-lane seal to a six-metre wide seal to improve productivity, resilience and safety on the Boulia to Dajarra section.

The Australian Government has committed up to $4.03 million towards this $5.03 million project.
Construction commenced in March 2019 and was completed in May 2019.
