Project description

The project upgraded targeted sections of the Kiewa Valley Highway between Wodonga to Mount Beauty in north-east Victoria. Works included lane widening, shoulder sealing and intersection upgrades.

Benefits

The project has improved safety and efficiency for all road users and supported the economic growth in the Alpine region.

Funding

The total cost of the project was $8 million. The Australian and Victorian Governments each contributed $4 million.

Timetable

Construction commenced in January 2019 and was completed in December 2020.
