Project description

The project upgraded the Princes Highway from Sale in eastern Victoria to the NSW border, including construction of a new roundabout and overtaking lane, upgrading intersections, widening shoulders, and installing safety barriers and variable messaging signs at selected locations.

Benefits

The project has improved safety and efficiency for all road users and supported economic growth in the region.

Funding

The cost of the project was $50 million. The Australian and Victorian governments each contributed $25 million.

Timetable

Construction commenced in November 2017 and was completed in July 2022.
