Project description

The project undertook pavement re-sheeting and shoulder sealing, and safety improvements such as delineation, signage and line-marking at three key locations on the Princes Highway between Colac and the South Australian border; between Terang and Boorcan, between Heywood and Dartmoor, and near Port Fairy.  Improvements were made to the intersection at Timboon-Colac Road and Princes Highway West.

The project improved safety and efficiency for all road users of this key transport corridor.

Funding

The cost of the project was $40 million.  The Australian and Victorian government each contributed $20 million.

Timetable

Construction commenced in February 2018 and was completed in April 2021.
