Project description

The project duplicated the existing single lane roundabouts at New Dookie Road and Old Dookie Road on the Shepparton Alternate Freight Route. Works also included upgrading feeder roads to and from the roundabouts, road alignment changes such as relocation and removal of table drains, installaton of safety barriers, and provision of additional pavement areas.

The project has improved safety and efficiency for all road users.

Funding

The toal cost of the project was $20 million. The Australian and Victorian governments each contibuted $10 million.

Timetable

Construction commenced in July 2019 and was completed in March 2020.
