Project description

Pavement exhibiting typical "block cracking" generally associated with a laterite "gravel" sub-base allowing water penetration into the base. Street kerbing is in excess of 40 years of age, with excessive cracking, missing sections and sub standard builder reinstatements following property redevelopments.

Remove and replace all street kerbing, undertake remedial construction of minor pavement failures, apply a crack sealing treatment to the entire pavement area and complete work with a 30mm compacted thickness overlay of "stone mastic asphalt" (SMA) wearing course.
