On all the three locations identified Edge breaks, Scouring of Table drain, Vegetation clearance, Insufficient road width, Localised pavement failures at vaious loctions, Culvert extensions, Oxidised Wearing Course, Faded line marking, Missing Guide Posts.

Edge break repair, Regrading of Table Drains, Vegetation clearance to improve site distance, Road widening, Heavy Patching, Culvert extension, Resealing, Line-marking and Guide posts replacement

The Gardens Road (Alice Springs Rural Road) - 059887-15NT-RTR

The Gardens Road services the pastoral, tourism, mining and indigenous community industries. The nearby Alice Springs to Darwin road rail crossing is currently being upgraded to 2 lane 7m wide seal, finishing at the existing narrow non-standard, single lane grid. The upgrade of the grid and drainage is a safety issue.It is proposed to raise the grid to allow drainage to occur, widen the grid to standard 9.6 metre width, raise the road approaches and build fence on both sides of the grid for traffic safety.
