Project description

Underlying drainage issues, narrow carriageway, high surface roughness and longitudinal cracking severity of the bitumen seal wearing course, shallow pavement material depth, unsatisfactory shoulder quality

Approximately 1200 to 1400 metres of existing road alignment to be rehabilitated. Rehabilitation to include minor widening to take carriageway width to 7.5m, with insitu shoulders to be boxed out and replaced with a Select Pavement material. Road longitudinal alignment generally compliant with Armidale Dumaresq Council Engineering Code standards, and will be retained. Tabledrains to be cut to a depth below quality pavement. Minimal overlay to allow for complying pavement depth, and reprofiling of road surface. Wearing course to be a primer seal, with follow up 2 coat 14/7 seal in approximately 12 months.
