Project description

The access road to the Oxley Wild Rivers National Park is the Wollomombi Falls Road, maintained by Armidale Dumaresq Council. The narrow [2.9m seal] roadway is highly deteriorated. The roadway has a bi-secting short causeway of 3.6m width, requiring rehabilitation. A public access ramp across the public road is requiring replacement or removal.

Existing shoulders are in reasonable condition, but will require reshape/tidy up to present as a widening of carriageway. Existing formation to be widened, and tyned or pulverised, with addition of moderate pavement overlay to allow for pavement stiffening or strengthening, or shape correction of road surface. Table drains to be re-cut and shaped, and longitudinal correction. Causeway to be widened to allow for two way traffic. Removal and possible replacement of public ramp.

Total cost of proposed project is $200,000
