Project description

Planning and corridor preservation for the future construction of a deviation on higher ground to the west of the existing Bruce Highway such that a much higher flood immunity can be achieved along this section.

Funding

The Australian Government has committed $38.4 million towards the project in partnership with the Queensland Government.

Timetable

The business case commenced in March 2022 and is expected to be completed in late 2026.
