Project description

The project will widen Kwinana Freeway from two lanes to three northbound from Russell Road to Roe Highway.

Benefits

The project is expected to reduce congestion for freeway users; provide more predictable journey times for all road users; improve safety and traffic flow; and provide better access to Fiona Stanley Hospital and the Murdoch Activity Centre from the south.

Funding

The Australian Government has committed $39.2 million to the project.

Timetable

Construction began in August 2018 and was completed in June 2020.
