Project description

The road is single lane, narrow, has poor vertical alignment and provision for active transport users is limited. Traffic demand along the route is expected to increase in future years due to urbanisation of the region. The upgrade will improve road safety and cater for future increases in traffic volumes.

The upgrading of Stanmore Rd to a 4 lane dual carriageway urban/ rural standard from Peachey Drive to Enkleman Drive. The upgrade is required to cater for the predicted increase in traffic volume caused by the continued urbanisation / industrialisation of the Yatala area and to improve road safety

Total cost of proposed project is $13,400,000
