Project description

Poor vertical geometry, insufficient pavement thickness for the regular heavy vehicle use that exists and the existing sealed width is only 4 metres.

Reconstruction and widening from 4.0 metre seal to 6.0 metre seal plus 1.0 metre unsealed shoulder on each side of the road. Increase pavement thickness, construct horizontal and vertical geometry to the appropriate standard and improve drainage via upgrading culverts where required and forming effective table drains. Replace signage and guide posts as required.

Total cost of proposed project is $434,462

The road pavement is being final sealed or resealed as per Council maintenance protocols.The entire section of pavement will be spray sealed and appropriate sized stone applied. In some instances emulsions or micro seals may be applied.
