Project description

A number of sections of the road have poor subgrade and/or poor pavement thickness and/or failing seal resulting in numerous failures along the road.

Where the subgrade is poor, excavate sufficient depth and fill with suitable material to form a stable base on which to form a road, then place a spray seal. Where the pavement thickness is insufficient, break up the existing seal, add gravel and reform the road to the required shape then place a reseal. Where the seal is failing, either rip the pavement surface, reform the road to the required shape and place a spray seal or if the existing seal has sufficient integrity, place a reseal.
