Project description

Road safety is the major concern. the existing pavement is narrow and in poor condition. This road is part of the school bus route and contains a increasing volume of heavy vehicles.

The works will include a pavement overlay and widening. Widening and a 150mm overlay to the full width will occur from chainage 0.0km to chainage 3.72km and also from chainage 4.59km to chainage 6.087km. The newly reconstructed sections will then receive a 2 coat bitumen seal of 7 metres wide.

Total cost of proposed project is $848,000
