Project description

Myrtle Grove was originally construction in 1934 and had its last surfacing treatment (a spray seal) in 1989. The road is in poor condition evidenced by serious cracking and pavement deterioration. Drainage along the length of the road, particularly the kerbs and channels requires upgrade and replacement. The southern end of the road is an identified low point in the local drainage network, the lack of adequate drainage from which causes localised flooding.

It is proposed to undertake a reconstruction of the road to replace the kerb and channel, replace the road surface and install additional underground drainage. These works will serve to renew the road, increasing its serviceable life, reduce flooding from stormwater and meet Council's asset management objectives for road assets.
