Project description

Murtho Road's current seal is failing and contains severe cracking, is extremely rough, loose material is forming and is subject to dust. The road is a designated B-Double Route and provides for access for a large horticultural area that is rapidly expanding. This is the final section of a three year project which received Special local Roads RTR funding for the first two stages.

The 16km section of road will be resealed and include shape correction to repair wheel rutting and assist with water run off. Work includes the removal or mulching of roadside vegetation, replacement of faded and missing signs and posts, new line marking, roadside shoulder upgrades, box out problem areas like inside bends,

Total cost of proposed project is $300,000
