Project description

Druid Range Road is to be sealed/upgraded and used to re-route heavy vehicle traffic from the main town center at Hawker. Council has worked with the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure for approval of this to occur. The risk of accidents/incidents is high due to tourist traffic and pedestrians especially during the tourist season.

The work proposed includes sealing a previously unsealed 1.3km section of Druid Range Road to PBS-L3 Double Road Train standard. Pavement thickness and durability will be brought up to 300mm

Total cost of proposed project is $430,000
