Project description

At present Carclew Road is an unsealed undivided two way two lane road and is of approximate length of 3.2km, and provides connection from Angle Vale road to McGee Road. The construction of a sealed and kerbed road will provide an improved road surface that will reduce noise, dust and air pollutants/emmissions. The construction of Carclew Road will open up opportunities for economic development for the horticultural sector for warehousing distribution and export opportunities.

Proposed works includes construction of a new sealed road consisting of new road granular pavement, asphalt wearing course, granular pavement and road shoulders, construction/regrading of roadside swales. Associated earthworks with the construction of the new road connection.

Total cost of proposed project is $1,600,000
