Project description

Ramsay Terrace is classified as a freight route of regional significance as indicated on the South East Transport 2030 Strategy Map produced by HDS Australia. The road is gazetted as a B-double route and services two major business. It also serves as access to the Bordertown industrial Estate precinct and is used by heavy vehicles to bypass the centre of Bordertown. The current width is a classified as a major deficiency for the classification of road and is displaying defects such as rutting and cracking indicating pavement failure.

Stage 1 of 3 includes 150m section to be upgraded to fit for purpose standards. Works include reconstruction, widening from an overall carriageway width of 8.6 metres to 10 metres, pavement strengthening to 325mm, and finish with an asphalt surface.

Total cost of proposed project is $150,000
