Project description

The project involves an upgrade and realignment of the Peak Downs Highway through the Eton Range section to address safety concerns.

Benefits

The project will improve the safety and efficiency of the Peak Downs Highway to support development in local townships and enhance productivity in existing and future mining operations in the Bowen Basin and the Galilee Basin.

Funding

The Australian Government has committed $166.17 million to the project.

Timetable

Construction commenced in April 2016 and completed in October 2020.
