Project description

Residents along Namarada Drive have experienced difficulties in accessing their properties for long periods during the wet seasons due to impassable inundation of the roadways. The existing drainage infrastructure has not been fully cleared for some time which is restricting the natural flow of water and contributing to the localised flooding issues. Consultants have been commissioned previously to undertaken preliminary drainage investigation and provide recommendations on how to alleviate the drainage issues.

Removal of trees and vegetation that has overgrown adjacent roadways and in table drains and drainage lines, reform and deepen table drains and drainage lines to promote natural flow, reinstate existing floodways that have deteriorated over time.
