Project description

Pavement at the end of its serviceable life and showing significant signs of deformation and failure due to high levels of vehicle traffic daily. Curves throughout the project did not meet geometric standards

Construct new table drains on the northern side of the road to prevent water instrusion into the pavement and to reduce the number of times water overtops the road during rain events. Raise headwalls to match the new road surface heights and extend culverts to cater for the shoulder widening. Widen shoulders for uniform width, curve geometric widening and shift through the entire length of the project. Overlay existing pavement with roadbase and mix and stablise and provide a new bitumen seal.
