Gourka Road, Topaz is identified as an aging unsealed pavement with significant gravel loss, potholing and scouring

Proposed re-sheet distance of 2,614m and a width of 3.3m. Proposed works include, import place and compact a 100mm layer of quarry manufactured Type 2.5 gravel material to the reformed road surface. Clean/reshape existing roadside drainage. Remove, clean and reinstate/renew associated roadside furniture.

Total cost of proposed project is $99,755

The Current road is too small and ineffective to cater for the growing city and will be reconstructed. This work is being undertaken as part of the City Centre 30 year Master Plan Upgrade. The proposed upgrade will improve the city centre traffic management and enhance business and economic development city wide.The road is being upgraded. Including full reconstruction, realignment, widening, removal of a roundabout, indented parking and pedestrian pathways.Total cost of proposed project is $4,800,000

Considerable pavement failure along with sub-surface drainage issues due to poor soil conditions. Extensive cracking and deformation has occurred along the asphalt wearing course, and will become a safety risk to motorists if not addressed in the near future.Drainage installation along the length of road. Pavement reconstruction utilising a foam bitumen stabilisation to reduce construction times so that construction can be completed within school holidays. Works also include kerb and channel construction and vehicle/pram crossing construction.

Wantabadgery Road (Rural Road) - 059818-15NSW-RTR

This section of the Wantabadgery Road was constructed in excess of 60 years ago. It is a narrow 5m wide seal with a vertical and horizontal alignment of a poor standard which does not meet any of the design criteria for a road required by the modern travelling public. The fifth culvert on the road is an inadequate drainage structure that requires replacement.It is proposed to reconstruct 2km of the Wantabadgery Road to a 7m wide seal with 0.5m gravel shoulders. The vertical and horizontal alignment will be designed to a 100 kph standard. The work will include new drainage structure consisting of a 3 cell 3m x 1.8m high box culvert.Total cost of proposed project is $780,000
