Project description

The project upgraded the interchange at Strathpine Road and Gympie Arterial Road in Bald Hills, approximately 16 kilometres north of Brisbane. The design uses a diverging diamond interchange that will cross traffic into contra-flow conditions to create free flow turns on all movements.

Benefits

The project improved safety, reduced travel times and increased network connectivity for all road users.

Funding

The Australian Government has committed $17.5 million towards the project.

Timetable

Construction commenced in March 2021, with completion in late 2023.
