Project description

The Business Case is expected to look at options to upgrade the Centenary Motorway in south-east Brisbane including options to improve the current design, and enhance safety, amenity and connectivity along the route.
The Centenary Motorway plays a critical role within the broader south east Queensland transport network by connecting the outer western, inner and northern suburbs of Brisbane and beyond to the trade coast region.

The project is expecting to deliver a business case investigating options to improve the current motorway design to improve safety, amenity and connectivity along the Centenary Motorway.

Funding

The Australian Government is contributing $10 million towards the project.

Timetable

The study commenced in late 2022 and is expected to be completed late 2025.

Berrigal Road (Rural Road) - 059875-15NSW-RTR

The road has a damaged existing seal with road base and sub-base deterioration facilitating minor drainage repairs.Initially accomplish minor drainage repairs as needed followed by required base and sub-base layer stabilisation where required. Bitumen re-sealing is completed to protect the road base and improve road surface.

Millie Road (Rural Road) - 059876-15NSW-RTR

The road has a damaged existing gravel driving surface with road base and sub-base deterioration facilitating minor drainage repairs.Initially accomplish minor drainage repairs as needed followed by required base and sub-base layer stabilisation where required. Gravel surfacing actions including stabilisation as needed to improve the road surface.

Culloden Road - 059877-15NSW-RTR

Culloden Road pavement has extensinve failure to approximately 60% of the area. Pavement length 740m and average width 9.20Rehabilitation of the road pavement by heavy patching, profiling and resurfacing the wearing surfacing. Replacement of the failed kerb and gutterTotal cost of proposed project is $367,000
