Project description

This project will upgrade the four lane section of the Gateway Motorway from Bracken Ridge to the interchange with the Bruce Highway and the Gympie Arterial Road. The Project is expected to improve safety and travel times, increase motorway capacity and reduce congestion.

Funding

The Australian Government is contributing $800 million to this project.

Timetable

The project is expected to commence construction in early 2026 and be completed in early 2031.
