Project description

Duplication of eastbound right turn lanes on Waratah Street into Princes Highway and provision of a northbound high entry angle left turn slip lane on Princes Highway into Waratah Street.

This road is currently unsealed, subject to scouring after moderate rain events. this road is remote and expensive to maintain frequently, leaving this road inaccessible to standard vehicles at times. With the development and subdividing of properties the average vehicles per day has risen significantly.Mellows Road, CALDERWOOD, from intersection of Calderwood Road, chainage 1.2km to 1.7km prepare existing surface and apply spray seal. From Chainage 1.7km to chainage 3km introducing a 75mm of road base blend to the existing material, prepare surface for a spray seal and apply spray seal. a. This is to the end of Shellharbour Council Boundary

Captains Flat Road - 060090-15NSW-RTR

The pavement of this road is aged, rough and narrow. It is highly trafficked with a loading of in excess of 2,000 vehicles per day. It supports both rural residential and local industry traffic.The works proposed aim to reconstruct approximately 1.0 kilometre of pavement extending eastward from a point about 750 metres east from the intersection of Clydesdale Road. A final seal of about 9 metres is proposed and the works will include major drainage improvements, linemarking, signage and guideposts.Total cost of proposed project is $900,000

Road surface deterioration such as pot holing, stripping, cracking and oxidation.Asphaltic concrete seal resealing is to be carried out to restore road surface condition 3380 square metres.
