Project description

Council staff and the public have identified a number of safety issues and high maintenance costs due to regular traffic movements and the increase in visitor/tourists in a variety of different vehicles(rvs, caravans, buses ) the lenght of the road is 9.1 kilometres. With the help of RTR in the past council have achieved to upgrade 4.5 klm of the road. Several sections including ,realignment, crests and poor line on sight corners have been identified for reconstruction.

Road Widening, corner realignment, table drains and culvert construction , rehabilitation, re- sheeting grading sections of the road to apply a two coat seal, signage and guide posts.

Total cost of proposed project is $350,405
