Project description

Flood water to 1.5 mtrs over crossing during wet season, Road is impassable and community residents are cut off from outside services as this is the access road available to residents. During dry season the access to and from the creek crossing is steep and dangerous to vehicles, due to large washouts, ruts and bull dust.

Reinforced Concrete Box Culverts – dimensions 1200mm wide x 600mm high. Road design solution: Install 2/1200 x 600 Reinforced Concrete Box Culverts, install 8 metre wide concrete floodway over Reinforced Concrete Box Culverts at 1.0 metre above existing level, raise approach formation length XI = 150 mtr XO = 150mtr Start point chainage 6.6 Klms from Port Keats Rd, end point chainage 6.9 Klms from Port Keats Rd on Merrepen Road, total length of road works 300 metres
