Project description

Deformed asphalt surface has been identified through road inspections. Pavement deflection test for this busy road section show that the road segment is at the end of asset life and needs full reconstruction. (South side of the road only)

replacing the subbase with Tensar TriAx geogrid for stabilising pavement foundation, then gravel aggregate of Densely Graded Subbase (DGS20)– 250mm layer followed by Geo fabric layer and finally 100mm of HP asphalt. Along 185m and width 5.42m (area 1003m2)

Total cost of proposed project is $190,654
