Project description

The road surface (spray seal) has poor slip resistance at a high stress environment at this intersection and requires increased urban street maintenance requirements.

It is proposed to provide an asphalt overlay as the final surfacing layer for the intersection upgrade to improve slip resistance and as a very low maintenance requirement, this will reduce ongoing urban street maintenance. Other works to be included as part of the total project include improved linemarking, upgrade intersection signage, install kerb extensions, relocation of pedestrian crossing, construct central medians and relocation of a bottle tree

Total cost of proposed project is $572,503
