Project description

Problem to address is to make the blind corner safer for large trucks. Project goal is to give the large trucks more room to move over to make safe for passing traffic from the opposite direction . road is used by large cattle trucks and is also the main truck route for the sand mine at Naracoopa. There are frequent "near misses" on this blind corner since the sand mine has re-started in the last 12 months. This a rural road with a 100km speed limit.

Widen the blind corner by 1 metre. Lay 300mm gravels and 2 coat bitumen seal & cement stabilise .

Total cost of proposed project is $31,780
