Project description

This project is expected to prioritise shoulder widening for problem areas identified along an approximate 13 kilometre section of Railton Main Road. This will improve road safety and network efficiency for freight and road users along this busy corridor.

Benefits

Upgrades to Railton Main Road will improve road safety for all road users and improve efficiency and network reliability.

Funding

The Australian and Tasmanian Governments are contributing $2 million each to this project.

Timetable

Construction commenced in August 2021 and completed construction in February 2022.
