Project description

The Richmond Road Master Plan has identified a range of upgrades to provide a safer and more consistent road environment between Cambridge and Richmond. The project is expected to include shoulder widening to priority locations along Richmond Road, specifically from Prickly Hollow Bridge to the intersection at Grasstree Hill Road.

Benefits

Upgrades along the Richmond Road will improve road safety for all road users and improve efficiency and network reliability.

Funding

The Australian Government is contributing $5.2 million and the Tasmanian Government $1.3 million to this project.

Timetable

Construction commenced in October 2020 and was completed in May 2021.
