Project description

Robert Steele Road is classified as a category 2 within Council's road hierarchy and provides an unsealed link to both residential and viticulture properties on the Western side of Seppeltsield. As an important transport link during harvest, council staff have observed significant change to the road condition with the increase of heavy traffic using this road during harvest.

Road will be re-sheeted and constructed using a suitable quarry material that will provide a higher level of rideability and decrease maintenance intervals.

Delmont Road, Cressy (Rural Road) - 057518-15TAS-RTR

This section of road was not constructed with a pavement to cope with the current traffic nor heavy loads, and the pavement is failing badly under the seal, has lost shape and is potholing.The work proposed is to provide a 5.5m wide sealed pavement and a 750mm gravel shoulder. New gravel will be placed, compacted and sealed.

Wilmores Lane, Longford (Rural Road) - 057519-15TAS-RTR

The pavement of this section of road is failing badly under the seal, it has lost shape in some sections and is potholing and is full of patches.The work proposed is to provide a reconstructed 5.5m wide sealed pavement and 750mm gravel shoulders. New gravel will be carted and placed, compacted and sealed.

Glenelg Street, Campbell Town - 057520-15TAS-RTR

This section of sealed street is very narrow, pavement is failing, has no formed verges.The work proposed is to fully reconstruct the street, form verges and drain into kerb and gutter, and seal from gutter to gutter.

Strzelecki Track (Rural Road) - 057533-15SA-RTR

The existing seal is stripping, has extensive cracking and is generally in poor condition.To repair pavement, apply a bitumen reseal to waterproof the existing surface and prevent further deterioration to the pavement.

Arthur Street, Blackwater - 057534-15QLD-RTR

Failure of pavement material resulting in uneven road surface.Full rehabilitation of existing road including stabilisation and sealed surface treatment.Total cost of proposed project is $1,533,829

Sagittarius Road, Blackwater - 057535-15QLD-RTR

Unsealed pavement creating dust issue and unable to withstand current traffic volumes.Import 150mm of gravel to a width of 7m wide and seal to 6.5m.

Comet River Road, Rolleston - 057536-15QLD-RTR

Unsealed road creating dust issues and unable to withstand current traffic volumes.Import 150mm of gravel to a width of 7m wide with a two coat seal to a width of 6.2m.

Benham Road, Minto - 057539-15NSW-RTR

The road is severly affected by crocodile cracking & significant levels of rutting.The proposed treatment includes rectification of the pavement deformation area with cementitious stabilisation treatment first. Then the whole section will be treated by hot mix asphalt with interlayer seal. Length is 564m and average width is 11.8m.

Parliament Road, Macquarie Fields - 057540-15NSW-RTR

The road surface is affected with moderate levels of stripping & crocodile crackingThe proposed treatment includes rectification of the asphalt fatigue area with heavy patching treatment first. Then the whole section will be treated by hot mix asphalt with interlayer seal. Length is 644m and average width is 10.5m.
