Project description

The intersection was highlighted as a concern due to high level of traffic, traffic speed and risk to pedestrians. The key recommendation is to install two traffic refuge islands in the centre of Allan Street to reduce the hazard for pedestrians. Removal of four sets of kerb outstands in Allan Street, construction of two new central refuge islands in Allan Street and linemarking.
