Project description

Narrabri to Turrawan Line Upgrade to enhance the quality and capability of the line to deliver a rail corridor capable of 25 Tonne Axle Load trains at 80 km/h.

Benefits

The Narrabri to Turrawan Line Upgrade project aims to increase productivity of existing infrastructure and provide an improved freight rail connection for North Western NSW to the Port of Newcastle, bringing operational productivity and flexibility benefits.

Funding

Australian Government is fully funding the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) to deliver this $44.650 million project.

Timetable

Planning is underway for this project, with construction to commence in Early 2022 and completion scheduled for mid-2023.

Millie Road (Rural Road) - 059876-15NSW-RTR

The road has a damaged existing gravel driving surface with road base and sub-base deterioration facilitating minor drainage repairs.Initially accomplish minor drainage repairs as needed followed by required base and sub-base layer stabilisation where required. Culloden Road pavement has extensinve failure to approximately 60% of the area. Pavement length 740m and average width 9.20Rehabilitation of the road pavement by heavy patching, profiling and resurfacing the wearing surfacing. Replacement of the failed kerb and gutterTotal cost of proposed project is $367,000
