Project description

Road width, sight distances, road shoulders not sealed; together with resealing travelling lanes, delineation and drainage improvements. This should decrease maintenance costs for Council and possibility of future road accidents.

Reconstruction of four road segments. Land acquisition for road widening from 6.0M to 7.2M and possible power pole relocation. Extend drainage culverts and install new headwalls. Construct new table drains. Reseal Road, line markings, guide posts, vegetation removal and new fencing where required.

Total cost of proposed project is $1,106,000

Lindsay Point Road has been rated against Councils Road Asset Management plan and it has reached its design life. Resealing this road now will extend the life of the asset as well as providing a safe smooth road surface, free of defects.The proposed work will include road shoulder alignment and re-sealing.

The existing bridge has been assessed as being in a poor condition and recommended for replacement.To construct a new pre-cast single span concrete bridge 5.4 metres long and 4.1 metres wide. The existing bridge will be demolished and a temporary bypass will be put in place while the new bridge is being constructed.
