Project description

Road was originally the Old Eyre Hwy and is the main access to the Eucla Airstrip and Eucla Jetty, Old Telegraph Station. Which is in a degraded condition. Which requires re-graveling and a bitumen seal applied for better access for the local ambulance to the airstrip and tourists the the old telegraph station. Road has limited signage and drainage requires repair. This section is stage 3 of a 4 stage process to upgrade the road.

Realign and define old open drainage, gravel sheet at 100 mm of new gravel, water bind and apply 2 coat bitumen seal. Stage 3 to be completed with final section of stage 2 which has been halted due to the loss of critical staff.

Total cost of proposed project is $433,163
